I have a draft!

I have a draft of my Yuletide story! It'll need some trimming and polishing --- I fell into temptation to start it with a Wall of Exposition, some of which is appropriate, but there's no need to cram my entire headcanon for the source into this story. But there's plenty of time to fix it up. I'm even tempted to do another story or two and/or extras of some kind, but can't promise anything just yet.

And with that, I'm gonna go to bed. I'll have to get serious tomorrow if I'm even going to limp in at 20k for Nanowrimo, but I'll be able to say I finished drafting a couple of stories, if nothing else.

In other news, I'd been lazy about tag-wrangling lately, but am now trying to take over Super Sentai piece by piece. Saving Gokaiger for last tho. Yeah... Also Looney Tunes; it needed some TLC (and to have Duck Dodgers broken out into a subtag not synonym). I realize, especially with the Sentai, that I'm not the perfect wrangler for some of this stuff, but if nobody else is stepping up to the plate...


PS: Embarrassingly enough, I figured out why my crossposting wasn't working; because I changed my passwords and didn't update it. ::headsmack:: Fixed now...

And not as embarrassing or painful as going to rinse suds off my foot after my shower and turning the wrong knob; thankfully I didn't scald myself badly, it's just tender, but geez...

Yeah, I'm not going to come anywhere close on Nanowrimo - I've got bits, but I need to make too many world building decisions to have anything like a first draft. I really don't care. What matters is that I'm writing again, which was all I wanted out of it in the first place. :D

Hope your foot feels better soon. Ouch!

Yeah, it feels back to normal today, so I was lucky there.

And with Nano, that's fine; what you were able to get done might get you somewhere on the world-building decisions and things, even. Sometimes it's stressful for me to go over material that I feel like I screwed up, but mostly it's helpful for me, whether I'm writing or drawing, to "throw down some lines" and have something to tweak and build on.

Yep. I have an outline of sorts, at least, or lines, like you say. And once I've gotten the world down a little better, the story should fill out pretty easily.
