flyingpast*fallingtoward, part 1
Oct. 15th, 2011 04:35 pmMy 'fic is still progressing slowly, now just over 12k words, but it struck me that I could actually chapter it up pretty nicely and start posting it, so here it is, with its fancy-pants title "flyingpast*fallingtoward", on Ao3 and on FF.net*. In part one here, our flagship couple finally blows it; Treize's chronic inability to tell Lillia how he feels straight out collides with her chronic inability to see through his obvious clues --- and he finds that that in itself is answer enough. As compared to the previous A&L 'fics, this one is very spoilery, but not so arcane; it does follow Setting Fractures, but everything you need to know is pretty well exposited, I think.
*I am once again pissed off at FF.net for its habit of eating any punctuation that isn't grindingly ordinary; it wouldn't let me have that asterisk in my story title, and I had to go fix Setting Fractures as it expunged the cute little symbolic sequence of asterisks I was using for scene break markers and I had to go replace them with horizontal rules. Agh, Ao3 is so much nicer to work with...
Still waiting for the Yuletide shoe to drop; for my third nomination I keep vacillating between taking the chance on Saiunkoku and going more in the spirit of the thing with Haroun and the Sea of Stories...
