10k point, tired...

I'm probably too tired to be posting, but it's been over a week now...
That last Allison & Lillia 'fic has just crossed the ten thousand word mark --- very nearly longer than its prequel, Setting Fractures --- and I'm not even quite to the end of Act I (so to speak). Sometimes I even worry that I've created a wall of text without making anything happen, but maybe if the whole idea of the thing is threatening to sink the flag-'ship, it's worth something to take your time and do it right... (Plus I got Treize's Dad in for a long talky scene; I've loved that guy since I did Setting Fractures and was happy to let him loose again.)
In other news, the idea of watching Saiunkoku to try to get re-excited about the Fushigi Yuugi stuff seems to be backfiring as I become tempted to write Saiunkoku 'fics. There's one in particular that wants a place in the queue after the A&L 'fic is done (I came up with a hearts'-desire story prompt for Saiunkoku 'fic, and that one would be writing to said prompt myself, but it's still a hearts-desire prompt because I would love to see where other people would take it...). I hate to neglect the FY Mirrorverse, but I think I probably need to let go of the idea of doing only it for NaNoWriMo. As mentioned a couple weeks ago, I already do one cheat, so why not more? Especially since I'll have a Yuletide assignment by then, too...
Still anticipating the Yuletide thing and putting way too much private drama into it; when the nominations open, it will necessarily be a snapshot of my constantly-evolving idea of what I want. Current plan is to nominate Allison & Lillia ('natch), Kemono no Souja Erin (want Erin/Ial fluff!), and Saiunkoku Monogatari (maybe too popular to be approved, but currently judged worth the risk). And then the scary part, getting an assignment... I think I can do this, but I had really better check my perfectionism at the door if I don't want to go #@%$ing insane.
