Book Challenge 4/12
Feb. 18th, 2016 05:26 pmAfter noted delays and other assorted slowdowns, my fourth fill in the 2016 Reading Challenge is at long last the "book you've been meaning to read":
"Rising Strong" by Brene Brown
Y'all probably know I'm a fan, and this book was her unknowing birthday gift to me last year; the release date lined up quite closely, so as one of my presents I dragged the parents to a B&N and had them buy it for me, and only now did I get around to reading it.
Her previous books were about showing up bravely in your life, but as she openly says, if you're brave enough often enough, you're going to get your ass kicked.
This is the book about what you do then.
It's as awesome and brain-rearranging as the others, and I find it perhaps her most practical book so far.
Beyond that, I'll let the author speak for herself:
( Challenge progress and what's next )
