Small significant thing
Feb. 10th, 2011 12:30 pmSince I started back trying to brush up my Japanese with the Heisig Kanji book and the unofficial web tools, I'd been doing the reviews in a Japanese kanji practice pad with a fox on it that I picked up for no good reason years ago at the Mitsuwa shopping center in Arlington Heights, Illinois. It was one of these, specifically; 6000 boxes total.
Today I filled it up and moved on to a normal American notebook (because I have too damn many of those, I might as well use them for something). It outlasted several pens, mostly felt "brush" pens, things I have now learned my lesson about and want to use up. I have a strange little sense of significance about this---I think I'll actually keep the cover, just because I hate throwing Japanese text in the garbage...
