Quiet Birthday
Aug. 27th, 2010 11:49 pmToday was my birthday! I'm thirty-one this year.
Mom and Dad got me just practical stuff, and I was happy to get cards from![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
kumpania and mjoanne; notjessica got me DDR Supernova, which I'd been wanting---and she knows how I'm enjoying DDR. Mom made Katsudon, and we tried making home-made snowcones; they seemed to melt into slushies really fast, but they were good.
I actually had some bouts of moodiness through the day that are maybe hard to explain, but this evening I feel pretty satisfied. It seems like, several years back, I got to a point where special days---birthdays, Christmas, Halloween, etc---just never seemed like a big deal anymore, but maybe they don't have to be.
