The fic is now approaching 16K words. I'm currently in the thick of the scene that the entire thing was originally concepted for the sake of, and although it has since snowballed into perhaps more than that, it's still a big scene. Normally getting to one of those would be energizing and I could tear through it, but this time it's tiring. I'm still making my personal goal of 500 words per day (and change), and I just hope I'm doing it justice...

It also seems that with Natsume Yuujinchou I'm breaking one of my patterns. Usually you can tell who my favorite character is by the amount of grievous physical injury they sustain, but not this time. This time Tanuma is shaking out as my favorite, and while the plotbunnies are trying to kill poor Natsume every time I turn around, they have yet to really threaten Tanuma with anything except emotional trauma and unusual degrees of fatigue. ::shrug::
