Kuroko's Basketball fans --- help your wrangler?

What I get for wrangling Kuroko's Basketball on Ao3 without having really kept up on it...

Question: Haisaki Shougo or Haizaki Shougo?

I currently have it as Haisaki based on the Kuroko no Basuke Wiki, but I don't know for sure.

Oh, there are chapter numbers... ::goes to dig up raws and hope for furigana::


EDIT: Okay, there were raws, there were furigana, and it's Haizaki. Sorry for the mix-up, everybody. ::goes to clean up her mess::

Ah, good, you found them! Yeah, just ear-balling it, the z sound would be the formation for an aspiration following an i (closed vowel sound). But I wouldn't be surprised if the scanlators looked at the name kanji by kanji and thought "okay that second one starts with sa". Kind of like the way k is spoken as a g when it comes right after an open vowel like a but it's still written the same. Traps for translators!

Yeah, I knew (without the language to say why) that the "saki" becoming "zaki" would sound more natural/typical, but I didn't want to presume on that basis, especially not with a name. How scanlators would miss the diacritical in the furigana, tho, ::shrug::.
