Happy New Year everybody!!

And, Yuletide Stories are now revealed, so I can say without shame or f-locking that apparently getting sucked into the assigned fandom is A Thing for me, and Natsume Yuujinchou is now my FAVORITE THING EVER. (I'm seriously contemplating shelling out for the DVD release; it's that bad.) Here's the fic I wrote, for Jan, whose comment made me all warm and fuzzy and I'm so glad she liked it:

Summary:

The Matoba clan had a long-standing tradition of how its leaders were chosen, but this time it took an unexpected turn.

...And while it's not like last year (when I wrote in radically tiny fandoms and the fics didn't crack 50 hits by New Years), it is the least-loved of the Natsume Yuujinchou 'fics in the set. I'd be lying if I said that wasn't a bit vexing, but I'm satisfied with the job I did, and well, the Yuletide NY fics, in Ao3-listed order:
1. Natsume & Madara
2. Natori/Natsume
3. Matoba & Original Characters
#3 seems destined not to win a popularity contest no matter how well it was done, so I can conveniently not blame myself. ^_~;

And the three Psychic Force fics were in fact from my prime suspect, last year's Yuletide recipient, and only fellow-regular at

last_impact: MarsDragon! I was bamboozled on one of them, it was so different from the other two...

But I had a good time! Still plan to do it again, and to keep an eye out for Parallels, too; I kind of regretted not doing it this past year and all my requests were for Japanese-made fandoms anyway...
