Merry Christmas!

This year it's just me and my parents. We already opened our presents, and I got:
From my uncle, a little flashlight.
From Jessie and Jo, a new inkpen: a Parker 5th, which looks like a fountain pen at first blush but on closer inspection looks more like a Pigma Micron felt-tip fine-liner sort of thing; I'd never seen one like that before, really interesting.
From my parents, a DVD of Whisper of the Heart (big oversight in my collection), the Viz translation of Natsume Yuujinchou v. 1 (so now I have v.1 and v. 13, just need to fill in the gap ^_~), and the big present: a new digital camera that I'd had my eye on, a Panasonic Lumix FH25, 16.1 megapixels (twice the resolution of my Elph), so I'll have to figure that out and play with it. ^__^
Plus of course, what I got for Yuletide! I got two fics on my Psychic Force prompt (plus another PF one for Yuletide Madness that hasn't gone live just yet). I haven't gotten a chance to read them just yet. I also have suspicions as to who wrote them, but you never know for sure until reveals. ^_~
My parents really seemed to like what I got for them, which makes me happy, too. I got Mom her own copy of The Artist's Way, and she wants to work through it together with me starting in January. Still waiting to hear from Jessie and Jo and my Yuletide Recipient, but hopefully I made them happy. ^_^
I also bought us a dozen Christmas Crackers just for fun, and we're enjoying the trinkets and lame jokes but they threw me. The one time I'd gotten crackers before, they had to be pulled steadily and not-so-quickly while twisting (the ex actually got annoyed with me for spoiling a couple by yanking them without reading the instructions). These ones have tighter snaps and I spoiled a couple by pulling them carefully; I've finally got the hang of these ones, and you have to grasp the tabs firmly and yank them quite hard. So far I've got a pair of tweezers and a luggage tag, and my favorite lame joke:
Q: How does Good King Wenceslas like his pizza?
A: Deep pan, crisp and even.
Most deliciously awful might be the "best thing about deadly snakes." (They have poisonality.)
BTW, I got so disorganized this year I didn't get Holiday cards out, so I apologize about that. Please let me send those wishes here now:
