Poem for Hoarding Tendencies

It hollows me out a little
To forget even details
As if Past Self had all the answers.
Tempting to keep the flotsam and jetsam
Before my eyes like letters on a Ouija Board
To summon back her plans.
Wipe the board clean.
Float the magnifier over the pure wood grains.
Summon the fiery oracle
Of Future Self.
Trust her unknowable form
To be grown larger in wisdom,
Larger in grace.
(Gosh, I haven't written a poem in so long...)
But yeah, STILL going through the stuff from the breakup move little by little, and dealing with the fact that some of it was stored badly and got mold in it and really needs to go...
Such was the fate of a box of VHS tapes today; I don't even have a VCR anymore. But they were the old Hecto Rurouni Kenshin fansubs. Yes, they were awful, but they had such an influence on my headcanon, it was sad to see them go.
I was also thinking of going back to stories when I've let the proverbial iron cool and have forgotten some of the exciting details; I can get too stressed out that I forgot the old ideas rather than focusing on getting into the process and trusting myself to have new ideas (as if the process isn't supposed to influence the thing anyway).
(Still a little off-kilter over the computer crap...)
To forget even details

Tempting to keep the flotsam and jetsam

To summon back her plans.
Wipe the board clean.
Float the magnifier over the pure wood grains.
Summon the fiery oracle

Trust her unknowable form

Larger in grace.
