Mar. 27th, 2015 08:30 pmI tried to type "randomness" but it seemed appropriate. Still like no brain for posting, although I've been doing other stuff just fine...
The weather isn't reliably good enough for outdoor walks although I've had a couple already. Mostly, though, I'm working on getting my groove back on DDR. I'm moving past the Beginner to the Easy steps quite a bit, and it's getting to where it's the exertion that gets to me more than the ability to actually hit the steps (as I mentioned in someone's comments lately, I have anxiety issues with exertion; getting winded scares me). But I think I'm making good progress.
I'm in a movie-watching mood. A friend recommended Babette's Feast, which was lovely. Next up I'm planning to re-watch Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times. I had a whole phase with his movies years ago, it's been years since I've seen one.
Early next month the new anime season is starting. I'm feeling more in the mood to watch anime again, too, and there are a couple of series that look interesting. They're doing the Arakawa version of Arslan, and also Owari no Seraph (which I ran into the manga of at one point and found it breathtakingly formulaic but a lot of fun).
And I'm still tearing through Cadfael novels. Just a couple more and then I'll take a break, honest!
Also incorrigibly buying books, although I'm starting to think I actually like e-books better as a reading experience. It almost seems like I should feel bad about that, but I don't. (It's the whole propping it in your hand and angling into light sources, it's starting to seem like unnecessary fuss. Although if you get a book that's absorbed a good library smell...)
