Reading, Coming Out Fannish

I've got an idea that I think will get me through my Once Upon a Fic assignment! Yay!
Media intake:
I finally attempted to watch Close Encounters of the Third Kind. I say attempted because, about a half hour in, I was like "Huh. I'm bored and I don't care what happens to these people." Yeah, about like what I vaguely remembered from my childhood. Maybe you just had to be there at the time.
After over a month of trying, I also finally gave up on Winter Rose by Patricia McKillip. It wasn't bad, it just couldn't seem to hold me.
On the other hand, I checked out the first Brother Cadfael mystery from OpenLibrary and tore through it with relish. ^_^
And I have some dangerously half-formed thoughts on TheoryOfFicGate and Coming Out Fannish.
