Yuletide Noms
Sep. 23rd, 2014 05:34 pm(No, not the candy exchange just yet...)
Yuletide Nominations are Open.
I feel less like I need the kick in the pants to write something right now, but it's become tradition for me; I just wouldn't feel right not doing Yuletide...
To tie in with the previous post, I actually nominated The Cat Who Wished to Be a Man by Lloyd Alexander.
I also nominated this little gem of an animated music video from NHK. (Very much a "gimme" at 2-1/2 minutes, but it's kind of fascinating and human and open-ended, I can imagine some neat fic about it...)
Because I'm more a writer than a reader when it comes to fanfic, it can be challenging for me to come up with ideas for what I want to request --- and to separate them from ideas that I think would be cool but don't necessarily get excited about as gifts, if that makes sense. I tried to think particularly about that this time.
ETA: Finally decided on my third nomination; it's Haroun and the Sea of Stories by Salman Rushdie.
