New Goddess something-or-other

I actually had a slight buying spree around my birthday (which happened to coincide with celebrating my first paycheck as my church's administrative assistant, which isn't much, but it's something). You already saw the webcam, and something else arrived today...

I do have one more box from the mini-buying-spree coming (and it's also in the "Japanese language toys" vein)...


In other news, I'm still playing Devil Survivor 2, just now starting into the Second Day (ever since I was a child I've played RPGs with a blend of risk aversion and poky-little-puppy syndrome, so it takes me forever and I get all over-levelled and stuff...). It's kind of a fun blend of an RPG, a Strategy RPG, a Visual Novel, and a Pokemon game, and in a game there's more space for the characters to develop (except the blank-slate hero, whom I of course had to name Hibiki...). Already I can see where fans of this felt that the anime fell short.

I also caught up on Free! except for this week's episode, and I can't say it really impresses me. It's like there's something naive about it but also something sly about it, kind of a worst-of-both-worlds aspect, and as of ep 8, Rin was still pissing me off.

Still haven't gone back to Sunday Without God...
