Translation help? Directions?

I'm working on some Japanese-to-English translations again, am actually hoping to scanlate some stuff. I tend to be overwhelmed by big scanlating sites like MangaHelpers and am mostly happy to do it on a lone-wolf basis, but my Japanese is still on a student/amateur level and so if I'm honest I need someone to beta my translated script before I start editing.

So, does anyone here want to give it a shot/know someone who might/know a good place to ask? (I pm'ed the admin of betaplease to see if they'd take the request, although translations aren't their usual thing.)
