Belated Yuletide

Oh, yes, I never did post about how this past Yuletide came out.
I received a lovely story based on Uchouten Kazoku:
And I wrote a Moribito story:
One of these days I really am going to be eaten by the bears. For Parallels I matched on Mushi-Shi, and was like "oh crap now what do I do what was I thinking when I offered this" but I had an out because the person had also requested Kiki's Delivery Service, and everything turned out fine. I had a bit of the same sensation when I matched on Moribito for Yuletide, and I tried the same trick again; they had also requested Snow White and the Huntsman, which I had been meaning to watch, but when I did watch it, erm, I found it really quite mediocre, enough that I could not in good conscience and self-respect write about it when I could have written about Moribito. Thankfully when I accepted my fate, I did have a good idea, took the issue of the official story that I had always been curious about and tried to answer it for myself. I was very pleased with how the story came out, and apparently it fit the recipient in happy-coincidental ways. So yeah, it was a good Yuletide.
Now someone wrote me a New Years' Resolution story that I've procrastinated about reading in an unconscionable manner. I'm better at giving than receiving in these things... -_-;;
